James Harvey Lewis

Brother James Lewis 15 was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 6^th, 1952 to the late Beatrice and Alphonso Lewis. Brother James passed away peacefully at the age of 71.

Brother James graduated from Ben Franklin High School,  then he went into the Job Corps.  Brother James progressed on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Brother James had two (2) children, later Brother James met and married the love of his life Sister Barbara.  From this union, they had two (2) children and a stepdaughter.

Brother James was a dedicated husband and loving father to his children.  Family was very important to him.  He enjoyed sports, playing chess and he loved doing Community service. 

He was preceded in death by his two (2) brothers, the late Barry and Raymond Lewis.

Brother James leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 41 years Sister Barbara; five (5) children James, Kelly, Niheem, Nisheaba, and Tosha; four (4) sisters, Vicky, Brenda, Tracy and Delia; two (2) brothers Richard and Alphonso; nine (9) grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Mark, Tyie, Heavyn, Cherish, Micah and Ericka
